Q: What are the criteria to be eligible for Yayasan CNI’s Single Parent Family Caring Programme?
Yayasan CNI Single Parent Family Caring Programme assists young single parents who:
- Are currently a single mother or father
- Are in poor financial status, earning less than RM1,500 a month
- Must have sole custody and provide primary care for the child or children
- Have a serious desire to get an education or job training which will make them self-sufficient
Q. What would the programme be like?
A. Basically the programme for the single parent will focus on equipping you with business skills and the opportunity to embark on a career with Yayasan CNI. Furthermore, you will also have the opportunity to participate in the many monthly activities that are specially designed for single parents like you.
Q. What about the children of single parents?
A. Yes, the children of single parents will participate in the many indoor and outdoor activities that their parents participate in. These include indoor and outdoor educational games, youth camps, parties, concerts and so forth. We do provide Educational Grants and Scholarships for eligible children of member single parent but these will be on a case-to-case basis and subject to terms and conditions.
Q. Is assistance always available for single parent families in need?
A. No. Assistance only becomes available when we have received donations from sponsors, individuals, companies, and fundraisers to assist those in need.
Q. Does Yayasan CNI only assist Single Mothers?
A. No. It is the policy of Yayasan CNI to provide equal opportunities without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, age, or disability. In fact, Yayasan CNI has in the past, assisted victims of natural disasters, wars, the underprivileged and other recipients it deems worthy of such assistance.
Q. How is Yayasan CNI funded?
A. Yayasan CNI is a non-profit organisation. As such, its assistance is completely funded by contribution from its parent company, CNI Berhad, donations, sponsors and fundraising efforts. We do not receive any funds from any other source to make this program possible.
Q. How about making a donation?
A. We welcome donations, either financial or in kind. However – we would like to advise donors not to be taken in by scams or parties claiming to be representatives of Yayasan CNI. Yayasan does not solicit for funds from the public through any third agents. You may donate directly through this website or by contacting our Yayasan CNI personnel at 603-55691663 or 603-55694000 ext. 2217/2147 (Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 6:30pm, excluding public holidays).
